AlQa'dah 8, 1435, Sep 3, 2014, SPA -- At least 910 militants have been killed during a months-long army offensive in north-western Pakistan, dpa cited the military as saying Wednesday. The operation in the North Waziristan tribal district launched in mid-June against al-Qaeda-linked foreign and local rebels blamed for killing thousands during a decade of insurgency, it said. Troops also cleared 88 kilometres of roads in the district as well as reclaiming major towns that had been considered rebel strongholds.
