An official source at Saudi Arabian Airlines (SAUDIA) stated that during the readiness of airliner No. (871) Boeing (747-400) for takeoff on Tuesday from Manila International Airport for Riyadh and while the plane was trying to turn to enter the runway, its rear right wheels system got out of the runway and stumbled in the mud as a result of heavy rains and high winds forcing the pilot to take the necessary measures and actions in such cases where all passengers disembarked by usual ways on the same location. The source pointed out that all the passengers were accommodated in hotels with the provision of necessary services, adding that the plane was also subjected to a required technical examination to ensure its safety. It further said that airliner will take off from Manila on Wednesday at 12 AM Riyadh Local Time and its passengers have been notified of the new date.
