Veteran Kurdish politician Fouad Massoum is
overwhelmingly elected Iraqi president for a four-year term by parliament after a secret
vote in which 211 lawmakers voted for him out of 228 ballots cast, dpa reported.
He will replace President Jalal Talabani.
