Jordanian Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh met here today with China's envoy to the Middle East Wu Sike to discuss the dangerous Israeli escalation in the Gaza Strip. Jordan voiced its rejection of the Israeli aggression as well as the need to exert efforts in cooperation with all parties to put an end to the Israeli offensive. The minister stressed the importance of China's role in its capacity as a permanent member of the UN Security Council to end the Israeli aggression as well as the need to continue coordination and consultations between the two countries. The two officials called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and condemned the killing of civilians.
