At least 11 construction workers were killed when a wall of warehouse collapsed in India's southern state of Tamil Nadu early Sunday, police said, according to dpa. The wall caollapsed on huts inhabited by the workers amid heavy monsoon rains in the Tiruvallur district, 60 kilometres east of state capital Chennai. Four women and a child were among the victims, a local police officer said by phone. A 19-year-old boy was rescued from the debris. More people were believed to be trapped under the debris and rescue operations were underway. Tamil Nadu witnessed another tragedy a week before when an 11-storey building under construction collapsed in Chennai, killing 61 people.
