At least 20 people were killed in India when two buildings - one old and one under construction - collapsed in the cities of New Delhi and Chennai, police said Sunday. According to dpa, the confirmed death toll rose to 10 in the collapse of an 11-storey building in the southern city of Chennai, but it was feared the toll would rise because people were still trapped in the debris of concrete and metal girders. An official at the Chennai police control room said at least 25 people were trapped in the debris while the NDTV news channel cited police sources as saying up to 50 were missing.
