At Least Eight Killed in Northern Nigeria Bombing

At least eight people were killed Monday when a bomb exploded in the north-western Nigerian city of Kano, police said.
At least 12 people were injured, dpa quoted Kano Police Commissioner Shinapa Aderenle as saying. The bomb went off near the home of Nigeria's inspector general of police, Mohammad Abubakar.
Ambulances rushed victims to hospital while security and paramilitary forces cordoned off the area.
