A series of explosions in different parts in the Iraqi city of Kirkuk, 260 km north of capital, Baghdad, killed eight people and injured about 80, including policemen. A security source in Baghdad said the police cordoned the scenes of the explosions and prevented onlookers to have access in fear that more explosions might take place while ambulances rushed to pick the killed and the injured to hospitals.
