Deputy Crown Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Second Deputy Premier, Advisor to and Special Envoy of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, received at his palace in Jeddah this evening President Mahmoud Abbas of Palestine and the accompanying delegation. At the outset of the meeting, the Deputy Crown Prince welcomed the Palestinian President and the accompanying delegation, wishing them a good stay in the Kingdom. For his part, the President expressed happiness to visit the Kingdom and have a meeting with the Deputy Crown Prince. During the meeting, issues of mutual concern to the two countries and the developments of the situations in the region, topped by the Palestinian issue, were discussed and reviewed. Following the meeting, the Deputy Crown Prince held a dinner party in honor of the Palestinian President and his delegation. The meeting and the function were attended by Prince Fahd bin Muqrin bin Abdulaziz; Prince Faisal bin Muqrin bin Abdulaziz; Prince Bandar bin Muqrin bin Abdulaziz; Prince Saud bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz; and Abdulaziz Al-Hawas, the Consultant and General Supervisor of the Deputy Crown Prince and the Second Deputy Premier's office. On the Palestinian side, the meeting was attended by Dr. Saeb Ereqat, member of the executive committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization; Dr. Riyadh Al-Malki, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Dr. Mahmoud Al-Habbash, Advisor to the President for Religious Affairs; Majdi Al-Khaldi, Diplomatic Advisor to the President; Basem Al-Agha, Palestinian President to the Kingdom and Dr. Imad Shaath, the Consul General in Jeddah.
