The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and visiting Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas held a meeting at Al-Safa Palace here this evening. At the outset of the meeting, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques welcomed the Palestinian President in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. For his part, the Palestinian President expressed thanks to and appreciation of the King for the warm welcome and generous hospitality accorded to him and the accompanying delegation. Then, the developments of the Palestinian issue were discussed and the efforts being exerted to achieve a fair and comprehensive peace that guarantees the legitimate rights of establishing an independent state for the Palestinian people on their national territories were reviewed. The meeting was attended by Prince Abdul-Ilah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques; Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Second Deputy Premier, Advisor to and Special Envoy of the Custodian Two Holy Mosques; Prince Faisal bin Abdullah bin Mohammed, Minister of Education; Prince Miteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Minister of National Guard; Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs; and Dr. Saud Al-Mut-hami, Minister of State and member of the Cabinet for Shura Council Affairs, who is the accompanying protocol minister.
