U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry met with a range of Lebanese officials in Beirut on Wednesday to discuss the impact of the Syrian crisis on Lebanon and other shared concerns, the State Department said. "It is an important time for us to show support for the Lebanese government. The situation in Syria has had an adverse impact on the security situation in some ways in Lebanon," State Department deputy spokeswoman Marie Harf told reporters. "We have seen the refugees. We have commended the [Lebanese government] for taking so many refugees and really bearing a lot of the burden here," Harf said during the daily press briefing.
