Two Egyptian soldiers were killed in bombings in Cairo and Sinai Peninsula on Friday, police said. A suicide bomber blew himself up at a security checkpoint in the town of al-Tur in southern Sinai, leaving one soldier dead and six injured, dpa quoted a security official as saying. In another apparently synchronized attack in the area, a second suicide bomber targeted a bus carrying workers, killing himself and injuring five civilians, the official added. In Cairo, a soldier was killed and four wounded when a home-made bomb exploded outside a court, the Interior Ministry said. Earlier reports said the blast in the eastern Cairo quarter of Heliopolis had killed two policemen.
