The United States on Wednesday called its relationship with Russia "complicated," as tension continued in the Ukraine conflict. "It is a complicated relationship," State Department deputy spokeswoman Marie Harf told reporters during the daily press briefing. "I do not think anyone would be surprised that the events of the last weeks and months have really been hard for the relationship, and that is why we have made very clear that this action cannot stand and that we will continue to take steps against Russia if they continue this activity," Harf said. "But in terms of pressing priorities, what the Russians can do to de-escalate the tension is getting the armed separatist group to disarm," Harf said, adding that Russia should be pulling back from Eastern Ukraine and pulling back from Crimea.
