Kuwait today categorically denied Israeli-circulated media report of any kind of contacts between the State of Kuwait and Israel. An official source of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait denied a revelation by an interview the Israeli newspaper of Yedioth Ahronoth has conducted with Israeli foreign minister quoting him as saying that there are meetings, contacts and talks between the two countries. The source said in a statement to the Kuwaiti News Agency that this information is baseless as there are no such meetings or contacts on any level, be them official or non-official or secret or public. He confirmed his country's firm and well known position and its commitment with the Arab firm positions in this regard, confirming anew that Kuwait will be the last (Arab country) to normalize its relations with Israel.
