The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Iyad bin Amin Madani inaugurated here today the first meeting of the OIC Council of Humanitarian Organizations with the participation of the representatives of civil society organizations in the Member States and Muslim minorities outside the Islamic world. In his inaugural speech, Dr. Madani stressed the importance of this meeting which formulates the methodological and institutional framework for collective humanitarian action in the Organization and under its umbrella.
