Six fishermen died overnight after jumping into ice-cold water from their burning trawler off South Korea, dpa cited the coast guard as saying Monday. Two members of the South Korean boat's crew were rescued and one other was missing, The boat caught fire around 108 kilometres south-west of the southern island of Cheju and sank several hours later. The six men most likely died of hypothermia, the Yonhap News Agency cited a coast guard official as saying.
