Maliki has two faces with regard to Syria as he openly says he will not interfere in this conflict and warns of its consequences; but in secret he allows sectarian battalions and legions belonging to his men and his partners in Syria to cross into Syria from Iraq to participate with the forces of Bashar al-Assad in fighting against the forces of the Syrian revolution and in killing of Syrian civilians. Alwatan newspaper suggested the return of the Cold War through the Gate of Ukraine and strongly criticized Russia's policy in this regard. Okaz newspaper said that the situation in Ukraine is more dangerous to peace, security and stability in the world, despite the seriousness of the situation that prevails in the Arab region at the moment.
