The President expressed, also, thanks to and appreciation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the generous support the Maldives receives from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through the Saudi Development Fund and the unlimited support it provided the Maldives with, in the aftermath of an earthquake and the Tsunami that hit the Maldives archipelago in 2004 in addition to the donation by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to construct seven mosques in the Maldives Archipelago. Economic relations have been discussed and means to boost them, alike, in a way that would achieve mutual interest of the two nations and the Maldives' side expressed gratitude of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for efforts and offices it exerts to bring about peace and stability, in the Middle East, asserting, especially, appreciation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the great endeavor it exerts, in order to find a just, permanent and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian cause, conducive to the establishment of independent, unified and viable Palestinian state, with eastern Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its Capital, and what the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia exerts of extensive efforts to reach a prompt solution for the ongoing struggle in Syria, in accordance with the Geneva1 Statement, aiming to restore security and peace to Syria and to spare the fraternal Syrian people's blood.
