Dr. Saed Al-Orabi Al-Harithi, Advisor to the Minister of Interior of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Chairman of the Saudi Charity Campaign for the Relief of the Victims of the Quake and Tsunami in East Asia, met here today with the Foreign Minister of the Maldives Abdullah Shahid, Defense Minister Ismael Ali Shafee, who is also General Supervisor for Humanitarian Affairs in the Maldives, Minister of Finance Qassem Ibrahim and other senior officials. The Maldives' officials extended thanks to and appreciation of the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the urgent relief rendered to the quake-hit and tsunami-stricken people in the Maldives. They considered this gesture an evidence for the firmness of the sincere fraternal ties binding the leadership and people of the Kingdom with the government and people of the Maldives.
