The United States on Wednesday condemned the continued attacks in Thailand, after three children were killed in anti-government violence this week. "We condemn the continuing violent confrontations in Thailand, including the inexcusable attacks over the weekend that claimed the lives of innocent children," State Department spokeswoman Jennifer Psaki told reporters. "Violence is not an acceptable means of resolving political differences. We reiterate our call for all sides to exercise restraint and urge Thai authorities to investigate thoroughly and transparently all recent acts of violence," Psaki said during the daily press briefing. "We remain concerned that political tensions in Thailand are posing challenges to both the democratic institution and the democratic processes of our close friends and allies," Psaki added.
