A U.S. official said Tuesday that the United States is expelling three Venezuelan diplomats in response to last week's expulsion of three U.S. consular officials from Caracas. Spokesperson of the State Department Jennifer Rene Psaki told reporters that three Venezuelan diplomats were announced persona nun grata in response to their country's move last week and they have two days to leave the country. Last week, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro expelled three U.S. consular officials, saying that they were supporting opposition plots to overthrow him.
