Japanese shares bounced back Friday for the first rise in three days as market sentiment was bolstered by the yen's decline and overnight gains on Wall Street. The benchmark Nikkei 225 Stock Average gained 416.49 points, or 2.88 percent, to end at 14,865.67 after falling 2.15 percent Thursday. The broader-based Topix index was up 27.75 points, or 2.32 percent, at 1222.31. For the week, the Nikkei rose 3.86 percent and the Topix was up 3.25 percent, dpa reported. On currency markets at 3 pm (0600 GMT), the dollar traded at 102.53-54 yen, up from Thursday's 5 pm quote of 101.81-82 yen. The euro was quoted at 140.61-63 yen, up from 139.62-64 yen late Thursday, and at 1.3713-3716 dollars, almost flat from 1.3712-3715 dollars.
