Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia paid a visit to Emperor Akihito of Japan at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo today. Upon his arrival at the palace, the Crown Prince was received by the Emperor of Japan. At the outset of the meeting, Emperor Akihito welcomed the Crown Prince. For his part, the Crown Prince expressed his thanks to the Japanese Emperor, Government and people for the warm welcome and generous hospitality. The Crown Prince conveyed the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to the Emperor who sent his greetings to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. Then, the Crown Prince graced a luncheon hosted by the Emperor of Japan in his honor and the accompanying delegation. The Crown Prince was accompanied during the visit by Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Chief of Crown Prince's Court and Special Advisor; Minister of State and Cabinet's Member Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban; Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohiuddin Khoja; Minister of Economy and Planning Dr. Mohammed bin Suleiman Al-Jasser; Minister of Commerce and Industry Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah; Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Dr. Nizar bin Obaid Madani; and Deputy Chief of General Staff Lieutenant General Abdulrahman bin Saleh Al-Bunyan . On the Japanese side, it was attended by Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, Minister of Foreign Affairs Fumio Kishida, and a number of officials of the Japanese government.
