Pakistani Chief of Army Staff Gen. Raheel Sharif met in Ankara today with army senior officers of the Turkish Military Command. A statement issued by the Public Relations office of the armed forces of Pakistan in Islamabad said Sharif met with the Chief of General Staff of Turkey Naikted Ouzel and Turkish Land Forces Commander Holosi Aker and discussed with them issues of joint interest, including security and defense cooperation between the two countries. The statement said Sharif is visiting Turkey as part of the accompanying delegation of Pakistan's Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to a tripartite summit meeting between Pakistani, Turkish and Afghani leaders.
