Presided over by its Speaker Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, Majlis Al-Shura held here today its 11th ordinary session. Following a report by the Bureau of Investigation and Public Prosecution, the Shura Council approved by majority vote, taking legal action before the Specialized Court against those who engage in public slander or defamation of the country's institutions, or its religious and national symbols. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Assistant Speaker of Majlis Al-Shura Dr. Fahad bin Metad Al-Hamad said that the council listened to a report presented by the Islamic and Judicial Committee regarding the annual report of the Bureau of Investigation and Public Prosecution for the fiscal year 1433/1434H read by Dr. Ibrahim Al Ibrahim, Head of the Committee. Al-Shura Council discussed a report of the Health and Environment Committee regarding the annual report of King Khalid Eye Specialist Hospital (KKESH) for the fiscal year 1433/1434H, read by Dr. Muhsin Al Hazmi, Head of the Committee. The council called upon the KKESH to further upgrade its staff training programs as well as follow through with its Saudization requirements.
