Satya Nadella has been appointed Microsoft's new chief executive officer, the software giant announced Tuesday according to dpa. Indian-born Nadella, 46, had the been favourite to replace Steve Ballmer, who is retiring this year after 30 years with company. Nadella has been with Microsoft for 22 years and most recently served as its head of cloud computing and enterprise division.
