President of Arab and Asian Air Sports Federations Dr Mubarak Al-Suwailem has been elected as vice chairman of International Parachute Committee (IPC) on the sidelines of a meeting of the IPC General Assembly in Vienna on February 2, 2014, in the presence of 46 member countries. Al-Suwailem won the post after a tough competition with the representatives of France, Britain and the Netherlands, to become the first Arab and Asian chairman elected in this post at the IPC. For his part, the IPC President Graham Windsor stressed that Al-Suwailem's election as IPC Vice-Chairman is a benefit to the committee due to his great efforts in the development of parachute sports in Asia and the Arab world and his great achievement with the Asian Olympic Council to officially make the parachute sports a game of the Asian Beach Games.
