King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain received in Manama today Prince Nawaf bin Faisal bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, President of Youth Welfare of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Chairman of the Arab Olympic Committee, and GCC ministers of youths and sports as well as chairmen of Olympic Committees on the sidelines of the 27th meeting of the GCC ministers of youth and chairmen of the Olympic committees. During the meeting, Prince Nawaf bin Faisal bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz conveyed the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, and Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Second Deputy Premier, Advisor to and Special Envoy of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, to the Bahraini monarch, wishing Bahrain's government and people every prosperity and stability. On the other hand, Prince Nawaf bin Faisal bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz led Saudi Arabia's delegation to the 27th meeting of the GCC chairmen of the Olympic committees which was held in Manama today. In remarks to the press of following the meeting, Prince Nawaf bin Faisal bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz said the meeting discussed a number of issues of mutual concern and issued important decisions, among which is the increase of subsidies to organizing committees of the collective as well as the individual games and the sports for those with special needs in the GCC member states. Qatar will host the second coastal games tournament in 2014, he declared.
