Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, chaired the Cabinet's session at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh on Monday afternoon. At the outset of the session, the cabinet valued the granting of an honorary doctorate in politics and international relations to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud by the International Islamic University in Islamabad in appreciation of the leading role played by the king to achieve security, stability and harmony at the global level in general and the Muslim World in particular. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) following the session, Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohiuddin Khoja said that the cabinet reviewed a number of reports related to local issues and a number of regional and international events. The Council of Ministers called on the international community to put pressure on the Syrian regime for delivery of urgently needed humanitarian aid to the thousands who are besieged and suffering from hunger and disease in Homs and other Syrian cities and refugee camps.
