Three people were killed and two injured in three explosions in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Friday, local authorities said. Two explosions took place at a hair salon and a vegetable market in the county seat of Xinhe in the Aksu prefecture at about 6:40 p.m., killing one person and injured two, Xinhua quoted the region's publicity department as saying in a statement. Shortly after the explosions, police arrested three suspects and later a suspect vehicle exploded itself while being besieged by police and two people inside were killed.
