Eighth Islamic Conference of Ministers of Culture adopts executive plan for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques initiative for dialogue among followers of religions and cultures
The eighth Islamic Conference of Ministers of Culture which wrapped up here today has adopted the proposed executive plan for the implementation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques initiative for dialogue among followers of religions and cultures: achievements and future potentials". Participants in the conference reiterated thanks and gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, for launching this historic initiative and pioneer civilizational project to enhance the values of peace and security, consolidate the bases for reconciliation, and tolerance, and highlight the contribution of Islam and Muslims in this field and the service of the entire humanity, lauding the study conducted by ISESCO on the initiative and praising its executive plan that reflected the vision of the Islamic world for dialogue among religions and cultures. In this regard, the conference decided to invite King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Center for dialogue among followers of religions and cultures to cooperate with ISESCO and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation as well as the Muslim World League to implement the dialogue program among cultures and civilizations according to a joint and comprehensive working plan within the initiative's document and executive scheme. The decision also called on ISESCO to widely introduce the executive plan of the initiative to the member countries and research centers, universities, regional and international organizations and civil community commissions and to implement in collaboration with the concerned government authorities and educational and cultural institutions, organizations and regional and international interested organizations a program within the initiative to benefit Muslims outside the Islamic world with the aim to rectify the stereotype profile of Islam and Muslims.
