The General Directorate of the Civil Defense in Tabuk held here today a press conference to highlight the accident of "Al-Asmar Well" in Haqel Province, 220km north of the city of Tabuk. During the press conference, Brigadier Mansur Al-Horthy, Director General of Civil Defense of Tabuk Region, said that Prince Fahd bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Tabuk Region, was always briefed on the details of the event and offered assistance and advice to the authority as well as the relatives of the missing girl during their long stay beside the well. Telling the story to reporters, Al-Horthy added that the civil defense received on Friday 17/2/1435H a stress that a six years old girl has fallen in an artesian well at Al-Asmar Valley in Tabuk Region's Hal province. Once arrived at the area, part of the rescue team combed the valley to make sure she was not lost there and the other part started removing sand from the surface of the land sliding well. Using a respiratory device and a camera, the rescue team was able to reach a depth of 30 meters but in vain. Then a larger well-equipped support human and machine force was summoned from the capital of the region. It was composed of 38 machines and 74 personnel. A three-pronged gradual digging process started on a 100m diameter 50 width distance.
