The Human Rights Commission (HRC) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia asserted that the declaration of the election of the Kingdom for a third term in the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) confirms its efforts in establishing justice, equality, protection and promotion of human rights on both domestic and international arenas, in addition to highlighting the firmness of the Kingdom's positions towards the fair issues of human rights over the world. In a statement issued today on the occasion of the World Day of Human Rights which is celebrated annually across the world on 10 December, the HRC highlighted the vigorous efforts exerted by the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to lift the injustice and stop human rights violations, especially in light of regional and international events over the world accompanied by massive violations of human rights. The statement also warned of selectivity and double standards in human rights issues, calling on the world to follow the developmental steps and humanitarian projects adopted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to provide a decent life for citizens and residents alike.
