At least three people including a police official were killed and 14 others injured Tuesday in two separate attacks in Afghanistan, officials said, according to dpa. Two civilians died and 11 others including a police officer were wounded in a blast that took place close to a police vehicle, said Amar Zwak, governor's spokesman for Helmand province. "A suicide bomber detonated his explosives-laden motorbike in a crowded bazaar in Marjah district at 1 pm (0830 GMT)," Zwak said. In the eastern province of Nangarhar, a police official was killed and three of his bodyguards were injured when their vehicle struck a roadside bomb, a provincial government spokesman said.
