White House Calls Ukraine Violence ‘Unacceptable'

The White House said Monday that violence by the Ukrainian government against protesters was "unacceptable".
"The violence by government authorities against peaceful demonstrators in Kiev on Saturday morning was unacceptable," spokesman Jay Carney said, calling reports of journalists being targeted and assaulted by security forces "disturbing."
