At least five people died Sunday after a fire broke out in a textile factory in the Tuscan town of Prato, reported the Ansa news agency. At least two other workers suffered serious burns and were hospitalized. Fire officials were still searching for other victims. According to dpa, the cause of the fire remained unclear, reported Ansa. It caused at least part of the roof to cave in. It also spread quickly due to the presence of easily combustible materials such as fabric and plastic. The driver of a car passing by the building noticed the fire in the morning and called emergency services.
