The Makkah-based Muslim World league has denounced on behalf of Muslims in the world the reported demolishing of a number of mosques and preventing Muslims from worshipping in mosques in Angola. In a statement, the Secretary General of the organization, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulmohsen Al-Turki said the MWL has been informed of restriction measures taken and prevention of building more mosques as well as demolishing a number of them in Angola. Al-Turki said such strange practices that contradict the world norms and human rights as well as the UN charters are deplorable and denounced by our organization. He demanded the Angolan authorities to revise its decisions in this concern as soon as possible, rejecting the Angolan Minister of Culture's statement that Muslim minorities did not obtain necessary licenses to build mosques. -- SPA 00:11 LOCAL TIME 21:11 GMT تغريد
