Published in Saudi Press Agency on 15 - 10 - 2011

AlQa'dah 17, 1432, Oct 15, 2011, SPA - The Muslim World League (MWL) has denounced the heinous plot to assassinate the Saudi ambassador to the United States Adel Bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir. The task to implement the plot was given to a member of the Quds Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.
In a statement, MWL's Secretary General Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulmohsen Al-Turki described the conspiracy as a criminal heinous act that is contrary to Islamic principles, moral values and international norms; as a terrorist act; and a murder which is forbidden by God.
He said the MWL received calls from officials of the Islamic centers and institutions around the world, expressing their condemnation of the criminal plan as well as demonstrating solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia which has been working for the stability of the Islamic nation.
Dr.Al-Turki expressed MWL's astonishment and condemnation of targeting the Kingdom, which is a country that has sponsored and continues to sponsor Islamic solidarity, seeks to end divisions of Muslims and unite the nation, works to spread the principles of peace and security in the world and understanding to resolve problems of nations and peoples through dialogue called for by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
He explained that planning by organs of a member state of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to kill Ambassador Al-Jubeir enhances further the surprise of the Muslim peoples and their condemnation of the treacherous plans against the Kingdom and its people, stressing that the national unity in the Kingdom increases in strength in the face of the kinds of challenges, attacks and plans of treachery and sedition.
