Dr. Riyadh Najm, Chairman of the General Commission for Audiovisual Information, opened in Jeddah today the Saudi Information Forum, held under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and Information. Addressing the opening ceremony of the event, organized by the General Commission for Audiovisual Information and with the participation of the Arab Broadcasting Union and the Asia and the Pacific Broadcasting Union, Dr. Najm briefed the audience on the developments of the information sector in Saudi Arabia, citing the transference of the TV and Broadcasting Commission, the Saudi Press Agency and the General Commission for Audiovisual Information into administratively and financially independent organizations to give them enough flexibility to each play its role and present its service in a more professional way.
