Hussein's leadership of the international conference for news agencies over the three coming years would contribute to the development of Arab media, make advantage of the successful media experiences and information in the world and invest the modern technologies in the fields of media and information, confirming that KUNA is keen to proceed with its cooperation towards the efforts exerted in this domain. He noted that SPA is hosting two events simultaneously, the 4th international news agencies and the 41st General Assembly of FANA, a chance for the two to exchange view points, experience and information, he said. He lauded the role played by the President of FANA and Director General of the Qatari News Agency Ahmed Saad Bualaanin during his presidency of the union over the last two years. He disclosed that KUNA will present a bid to host the 42nd General Assembly of FANA to be held in 2015. Later, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Yemeni News Agency (SABA) Tareq Al-Shami, arrived in Riyadh. In a departure statement at Sanaa international airport before heading to Riyadh, Al-Shami said Riyadh FANA conference will discuss a number of important issues on the agenda, including the performance of the secretariat general of FANA over the last two years, the prizes of the best press report and photograph as well as the common Arab economic bulletin. Also arriving was Awadh Jadain Mohieddin Othman, Director General of Sudan's news agency (SUNA) and Faisal Yousef Al-Shabool, Director General of the Jordanian News Agency (PETRA) and Director of Angolan News Agency Jose Shemeko.
