The Khaled bin Sultan Living Oceans Foundation has recently issued the Arabic version of the Atlas of Saudi Arabian Red Sea Marine Habitats. The atlas contains maps of the spatial distribution, size and condition of shallow marine habitats. Over the past years, the foundation has implemented four research missions in the Saudi Arabian Red Sea using its research ship nicknamed (The Golden Shadow) as a research platform. In doing so, the foundations seek to identify options to enhance the conservation and management of the Saudi Arabian coral reef ecosystems.
