GCC Secretary General Congratulates Leadership Election to Membership of Human Rights Council

Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Member States Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani congratulated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, and the Saudi people on the occasion of the election of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as a member at Human Rights Council by the General Assembly of the United Nations for a three-year term.
In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Al-Zayani said that the election of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia reflects its high position in the international community.
The GCC Secretary General also lauded the Kingdom's achievements and progress in the field of respecting and maintaining human rights under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
