AlHijjah 6, 1434, Oct 11, 2013, SPA -- Prince Saud Al-Faisal, the Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, held talks here today with his French counterpart Loran Fabius. Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Arabia's Deputy Minister of Defense, took part in the meeting. Prince Saud Al-Faisal's official accompanying delegation also attended the meeting. In press remarks following the meeting, the Assistant Spokesman of the French Foreign Ministry Vansant Florian said the situation in Egypt, the Syrian crisis, the Iranian nuclear program and the situation in Lebanon were discussed during the meeting. He underscored the importance of stability in Egypt through expediting the implementation of the road map. On Syria, he said, the two sides underscored the importance of working to achieve the aspirations of the Syrian people and finding a political solution to the crisis through putting an end to the intolerable oppression of the Syrian regime in addition to the importance of providing support for the opposing Syrian national coalition. On Iran, he indicated that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and France would like that the good will vowed by President Rohani (of Iran) be translated into tangible actions. He added that the two ministers also tackled the situation in Lebanon.
