AlHijjah 5, 1434, Oct 10, 2013, SPA -- The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques today ordered the opening of Phase I of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques expansion project of the holy grand mosque, including the ground floor, first floor, the first mezzanine and second mezzanine of the building as well as the northern, southern and western yards of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques expansion project of the holy grand mosque and its affiliates to accommodate about 450,000 worshippers, out of the targeted additional capacity of one million worshippers to bring to 1,600,000 the total number of prayers at one time by the completion of the project by coming Ramadan (ten months from now).
