AlHijjah 3, 1434, Oct 8, 2013, SPA -- The Executive Director of Arab Gulf Programme for United Nations Development Organizations (AGFUND), Nasser Bakr Al-Qahtani has said that the initiative of Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the AGFUND President, is progressing steadily, expanding by establishing more banks, and by upgrading the performance of banks in action. He pointed out that the beneficiaries from target segments are also in increase and according to the latest statistical, their number exceeded more than one million and 300.000 beneficiaries. Al-Qahtani also said that AGFUND will participate in the Microcredit Summit Campaign Conference to be held in the Philippines on October 9-11, entitled ''Partnerships to Fight Poverty'', stressing that the AGFUND's team to the summit holds successful and impressive stories for its project, which pursues the principle of social business, under the umbrella of Prince Talal initiative. It is noteworthy that the goal of Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud initiative is to combat poverty in the region and establish banks for the poor.
