The Arab Gulf Program for Development (AGFUND) has completed its procedures to launch "Bank of Creativity For Microfinance" in Sudan in August, which is the seventh bank for the poor in the system to combat poverty, under the initiative of Prince Talal Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the President of AGFUND, to establish banks for the poor in the region. The Programme's Executive Director Nasser Bakr Al-Qahtani commended the great facilities provided for the establishment of the Bank by Sudanese government, the Central Bank of Sudan, as well as the cooperation of the private sector in Sudan. It is worth mentioning that AGFUND has established Microfinance Banks in partnership with the private sectors in Jordan, Yemen, Bahrain, Lebanon, Syria, and Sierra Leone.
