AlQa'dah 14, 1434, Sep 20, 2013, SPA -- The General Assembly of the Organization of the Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA) held here today its 5th session. Abdullah bin Fahd Al-Hussain, President of the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), participated in the meeting. During the session, the participations voted for Itar-Tass Agency for the coming presidency of OANA, approved that the official news agency in Azerbaijan to organize the 16th general assembly in addition to electing the executive committee and the technical committee. In his speech, President of Turkish Anatolia news agency Kemal Uzturk, OANA president, thanked the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for hosting the 4th Conference of News Agencies World Council to be held in Riyadh this year. For his part, Al-Hussain thanked Itar-Tass agency for hosting this meeting and the President of Turkish Anatolia news agency for his efforts during his chairmanship of OANA. The SPA president welcomed all news agencies in OANA to attend the 4th Conference of News Agencies World Council (NAWC) to be held in Riyadh on 18, November, where more than 130 news agencies will participate in the conference.
