AlQa'dah 13, 1434, Sep 19, 2013, SPA -- The 15th Conference of the General Assembly of the Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA) started today in the Russian capital of Moscow in the presence of 35 of the member news agencies. The Kingdom's delegation is headed by President of the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) Mr. Abdullah Bin Fahd Al-Hussein. Russian President Vladimir Putin welcomed participants in the session in a message to the conference delivered by the Director General of Itar-Tass news agency Sergei Mikhailov. In his statement, Putin highlighted the importance of OANA as one of the oldest and most credible federations of international news agencies. The conference will discuss over five days many of the issues concerning the media. The Saudi Press Agency is participating in the photo exhibition on the sidelines of the conference with photos representing the heritage of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
