AlQa'dah 11, 1434, Sep 17, 2013, SPA -- The Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has given the developmental works in the holy sites its utmost attention in the service of Muslims. The Project for Expansion of the Grand Holy Mosque and Developmental Works in Holy Sites is considered as the largest expansion in the Mosque's history. The new expansion of the Holy Mosque includes an area of 400,000 square meters that can accommodate more than 1.2 million worshipers. The estimated financial value of the properties expropriated in favor of the project amounted to more than SR 40 billion.
