At least 12 killed in northern India

AlQa'dah 2, 1434, Sep 8, 2013, SPA -- At least 12 people were killed and more than 40
injured in riots in northern India, officials said Sunday, according to DPA.
A freelance television journalist and a police photographer were among those killed in Muzaffarnagar district in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
Curfew has been imposed and the army called in to restore calm, Muzaffarnagar district magistrate Kaushal Raj Sharma said.
